The roots of the Hotel d'Inghilterra date back to the mid-16th century, when it was used as a noble residence for the guests of the Palazzo Torlonia, located just across the street. In 1850, the guest residence of the Palazzo Torlonia was transformed into a hotel called Hotel d'Angleterre, due to its popularity among British visitors. Among the illustrious guests of the hotel were the English Romantic poets Byron and Shelley, as well as Henry James, Elizabeth Taylor, Gregory Peck, and Ernest Hemingway during the years of the Dolce Vita in the early 20th century. Located just meters from Via del Condotti and very close to the Piazza di Spagna, in one of the most exclusive areas of the beautiful city of Rome, the hotel has been completely renovated, with new suites and rooms, a refined restaurant, an intimate spa, and a 24-hour gym, perfectly combining its rich history with modern elegance.
